Wash inside out
LAY FLAT TO DRY - this is crucial because if the garment is dried, the fabric on applique may shrink and will cause it to draw up.
Iron over applique if needed
If the mesh backing (inside garment) comes off in wash, you can iron back on. This is initially placed on inside of garment to protect the child's skin, but after a few washes the backing softens and may not need the mesh backing.
